Stats and Records

It’s been ages since I’ve updated this page, and I don’t have much to offer. I’ve put on some weight since I’ve been in Taiwan, but not much. I’ve also seen dramatic increases in strength, so I’d like to think it’s mostly muscle.

  • Squat: 315 lbs.
  • Front Squat: 215 lbs
  • Deadlift: 435 lbs.
    • 455 lbs – Trap Bar
  • Log Clean and Press: 181 lbs
  • Farmer’s Walk: 192 lbs/hand

Current Weight: 244 lbs/ 111 kg

I’m still carrying a little more body weight than I would like, but I’m running regularly to supplement my workouts, and feel trimmer and fitter every day.


  • Pharmafreak Caged Beast Strongman Showdown – July 2015. Withdrew halfway through due to travel complications, but this was my first show and I was out for fun, and outclassed. Last Place.
  • Kamloops Strongest Man – June 2016. First real competition, finished 8th of 10 in the Light Heavyweight Class (there were ties for 2nd and 4th place, and I was far off the pace with 11 pts, where 1st place took every event win for 50 pts).
  • Stones and Strength – June 2016. This was just shy of 2 weeks after Kamloops Strongest Man, and a last minute decision. Happy I went, and had a blast. 6th out of 6 in 230 lb weight class. Closer finish this time, as I was only 3 points out of 5th place.

Life in Taiwan has been interesting. I’ve put on a bit of weight, and a lot of it is on the waistline. But I’m getting stronger, and now that I’m cooking my own meals, I will be able to shed some excess fat and become a touch leaner again.
